‘Tutt the season to be jolly’: Jason Tutt to don the Blue & Gold
The club is excited to announce the signing of former Western Bulldogs and Carlton player Jason Tutt for season 2017.
Jason was originally drafted by the Bulldogs from Ainslie with pick #31 in the 2009 draft. In five years he played 26 AFL games before being traded in the 2015 Pre-season draft to Carlton. He added a further 14 AFL games to take his career tally to 40 & also slotted 27 goals.
Jason had a terrific season in the VFL averaging 27 disposals per game and featuring in the Bullants best players in 11 of his 14 games. In his sole senior game for Carlton against GWS he gathered 18 disposals, laid 4 tackles and kicked a goal.
The club is very grateful to Jason’s friend Nick Brasher for the initial introduction and both Brian Waldron and Paul Satterley have been extremely impressed by Jason’s character and willingness to embrace the next chapter of his footy journey.
Satts is thrilled that Jason is joining De La Salle. “It reflects extremely well on our club that Jason is on board. He was inundated with offers from all over the country,”.
It has been a great week for the club with Redan ruckman Matt Cullinan also officially committing to the club. Matt finished Runner up in his club’s Best & Fairest this year and has been super impressive on the training track to date. He adds further depth to our list with former Sandringham VFL ruckman Oscar Persson also returning from a year off due to injury.
