Match Report

Another fine day for footy and a top of the table clash v Old Trinity This game was certainly going to be tough. OT’s got the jump on us early and showed us how polished a team they were going to be.
At quarter time we were well and truly beaten in all facets of the game . OT lead 2/5/17 to De La 0/0 no score The second quarter caused us a few problems in the coaches box. We lost two players to injuries and neither Would take any further part in the game. We played with more intent in the 2nd quarter and managed to go into half time OT 6/7/43 to De La 3/3/21. Down by 22 points

Would you believe we lose another player to concussion protocol in the first few minutes of the 3 Rd quarter. Our midfield was down on numbers so we injected Charlie Atkin into the middle where he made an immediate impact. J Tory Toth went to full back and kept their key fwd under control.

Our young Ruckmen J .Wiseman and T.Robinson gave their all and never stopped trying against their bigger bodied opponents. At three quarter time scores were OT 10/10/70 to De La 5/5/35. A great effort by all as our rotations were well and truly affected by the three injuries. No excuses , we were poor early in the game and they made us pay . The pleasing thing was our boys never threw the towel in despite their exhaustion. The final score OT 12/15/87 to De La 8/8/56 Our boys can hold their heads high , especially the effort after half time where we had 1 rotation for the second half . After half time OT kicked 6/9 to De La 5/5 . Looking fwd to our next clash
