Match Report
Finally we were able to get the numbers and have a game after last weeks forfeit. A huge thanks to the 6 under 19 players who played for us and made it possible. They were all awesome and their attitude was excellent.
We eventually kicked 3 goals for the game and they kicked two of the 3. (Tom Childs & Levi Wardle). St Bernards were a very good team. They had a big fwd who kicked 6 goals for them , this guy played 11 senior games last year. Riley Watson played on him all day and can hold his head high as he did a great job .
We had a goal less first half and they kicked 6. In the second half they kicked 8 and we kicked 3
So very pleased that the boys did not throw the towel in . We didn’t get the 4 points but the club has had a win as we were able to find 23 players to pull on the jumper and have a crack. The young fellas were certainly made to feel a big part of the team . Well done to everyone and hopefully this leads to more players wanting to play at De La .
Best: Brad Higgins, Jordy Brasher, Tom Childs, Sam O’Connor (also 1 goal ), Jacob Mackinnon, Billy Ryan
