Former De La Coach Bernie Sheehy returned to Waverley Oval to see his old club take on his other beloved club, AJAX FC.
An unassuming De La legend, who many praise for turning De La into a great club when it was struggling, those who spoke in honour of Bernie focussed on his inspirational leadership style.
As always Bernie was joined by members of AJAX FC including new President Alida Lipton and although he hoped for a draw, De La took out the Cup for 2023.
