We are excited to announce Andrew Donnison, or Donno as he is more commonly known as, our 2024 Women’s Coach.

Donno has a long history with De La Salle, and a passion for developing people so that they can enjoy the game that we all love.

After commencing at the school in 1991, Donno played his junior football at
De La from under 12s (under super coach Jennie Loughnan) through to under
17s. He then played 2 seasons of under 19s at the senior club, including a year captaining the Golds.

After 15 years away from Melbourne, Donno has spent the last 7 years coaching at the Caulfield Bears and St Kilda City junior football clubs.
Here he followed the Bears’ first ever girls’ team from under 12s through to under 18s, navigating a merger and picking up 2 premierships along the way.

Looking ahead to the 2024 season, Donno said,
“I can’t wait to get involved. Having watched a number of games over the last few seasons and spoken to people around the club, the passion that the players have is evident and the vibe amongst the group seems super positive.”

“I’m looking forward to meeting with the players to see what their goals are for the year, both individually and for the team, and putting a plan in place to achieve these.”

“It’s an exciting time for the Guns, and I’d encourage everyone at the club to get onboard as we continue to work to achieve the ultimate goal – another De La
premiership.”
