De La Salle vs Fitzroy

Match Report

The reserves were up against a formidable opposition today. Fitzroy were on top of the ladder averaging 120pts per game. In the first quarter Fitzroy came out firing and were on top early. The reserves were able to respond though and went into qtr time with more scoring shots.

In the 2^nd qtr it was an even battle. Jordan Brasher up forward provided a great target and kicked all 3 goals in the first half. Down back we were really solid with our defenders restricting a high scoring team to only 4 goals in the first half.

Unfortuntaely in the 2^nd half we were struck down with a number of injuries and finished the last qtr with no players left on the bench. The reserves were brave but unfortunately ran out of legs and were defeated by 40pts.
