Old Camberwell vs De La Salle

Greeted by a great day at Old Camberwell. Sun out, good deck and another challenge for our boys . We knew OC were not going to make it easy for us . We had some work to do . Even first quarter De La 3.3.21 to OC 2.2.14

OC seemed to kick with a slight breeze in the first quarter, so good start by our boys. We asked for more run and carry, my switching and closing down the opposition when they had the ball . All requests answered. Half time scores De La 8.5.53. OC 3.4.22 We put Cooper Morris on ice , tight hammy . A few other boys a little sore as well . So we needed to manage a few lads to keep them fresh . Third quarter was an arm wrestle as both sides couldn’t hit the score board . OC managed the only goal for the quarter. At the last break De La 8.7.55 OC 4.7.31. Lucas Liakakos was causing OC all sorts of problems up fwd , clever and dangerous close to goal . Our rucks gave us first use and our mids undermanned dug deep to keep us in control.

We managed a few players in the last quarter as some were sore. We did what we had to do to get the 4 points . OC were impressive as they fought the game out . Our better players, Fogarty, Canny, Bowden, Ahearn Jarvis, Aitken all were consistent ball winners . Looking fwd to playing our last two games at home . Next week we welcome St Bedes. Another good performance needed as you know what St Bedes will bring to the game Well done all Cheers Jock
