Monash Blues vs De La Salle

Match Report

Monash came to play early and competed strongly at the contest. The reserves though were able to gradually out work them as the qtr grew on and we had a few chances to kick goals. We made some slight adjustments at qtr time and were able to dictate play in the 2nd term with our wings finding plenty of the footy.

Unfortunately we couldn’t convert our chances kicking 2 goals, 7 behinds. In the 2nd half we ran over the top of them and we were able to create some dominance on the scoreboard. Liam Wood was very dangerous all game up forward, kicking 6 goals and taking some great contested marks.

The defensive back 6 were very strong and repelled most of their entries. Overall we came away with a 72 point win, kicking 14.16 – 100. The boys will spend some time at training this week kicking some goals!
